The Netgear® EVA8000 Digital Entertainer HD is not a newcomer to the market but still offers some great features including supporting streaming video with output up to 1080p, HDMI output, and Digital Optical Output.  Both the EVA8000 and also the EVA9150 from Netgear® offer built-in wireless features.

The EVA8000 is the only higher end model to come with the wireless features built in to the device.  It also offers a wider range of connectivity options than the EVA2000.  This is a complete step up to a higher end streaming digital media player.  With playback up to 1080p, HDMI, and digital audio out, setup will be easier than you think.  If you don’t have HDMI on your TV, don’t worry this player has plenty of options.  One of the neatest features is something that Netgear calls “Follow Me”.  If you have two or more Digital Entertainer HD’s in your house, you can pause a show in one room and then resume play in another room.  You can also synchronize the players in both rooms for “Party Mode”.  Here are the specs:
